SINERGI SPJM DAN PT KALTIM MELATI BHAKTI SATYA KEMBANGKAN POTENSI KEMARITIMAN DI KALIMANTAN TIMUR
Jakarta, 5 September 2024 - Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), one of the subholdings of Pelindo Group, synergises with PT Kaltim Melati Bhakti Satya (KTMBS) through the formation of a Joint Team to develop maritime potential and related businesses in East Kalimantan.
Coinciding with Customer Day 2024, SPJM initiated a synergy step with strategic partners in the East Kalimantan region to collaborate in exploring the potential for maritime business development as a form of support for improving the regional economy through logistics cost efficiency. Logistics cost efficiency is expected to result in production cost savings, faster delivery times, increased customer satisfaction and overall competitiveness.
SPJM's Director of Strategy and Commercial, Yossianis Marciano, said that as part of the state-owned Pelindo Group, we also have a responsibility to contribute to the regional economy. Therefore, one of our strategies is to synergise with the KTMBS Regional Company to jointly explore and realise the strategic potential of the East Kalimantan region. We see that SPJM and KTMBS have in common a diverse business stream so of course the business development opportunities that can be collaborated are also quite extensive, and this is what we need to explore and realise together.
In line with this statement, the President Director of KTMBS, Aji Abidharta W Hakim, welcomed the initiation that had indeed been discussed several times with SPJM. He stated that the synergy between SPJM and KTMBS could be an example for the development of other fields outside of marine services. Previously, Pelindo and KTMBS had also worked together for the development of Kaltim Kariangau Terminal and the Safeguarding of Mahulu and Mahakam Bridge Assets.
It is hoped that this synergy will provide economic benefits for the East Kalimantan region in particular and the country in general.
